Stuart Harvey Paulson's Obituary
RACINE-Stuart Harvey Paulson, age 73, passed away at Ascension All Saints Hospital on October 1, 2017.
On November 28, 1943, Stuart was born in Racine, WI to Harvey and Anna Gertrude (nee Anderson) Paulson. Stuart obtained his Bachelor’s Degree from UW Madison and proudly served his country in the Army Reserves. He was united in marriage to Cora L. Hansen at Holy Communion Lutheran Church in Racine, WI on April 20, 1968. Stuart was employed with the State of Wisconsin for 29 years.
Stuart was a member of Holy Communion Lutheran Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing cards and fishing. Stuart was also an avid Badgers, Packers and Brewers fan. However, most of all, Stuart enjoyed spending time with his family and his dogs.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Cora L. Paulson; his daughter, Keri A. (Christian) Hanstedt; his son, Christopher S. (Michelle) Paulson; his grandchildren: Elizabeth and Allyssa Hanstedt and Justin and Krystle Paulson; his brothers, Bruce Paulson and Warren Paulson; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Stuart was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Gertrude Paulson; his brother, John Paulson, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clyde and Lucille Hansen.
A celebration of Stuart’s life will be held on Monday, October 9, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Communion Lutheran Church (2000 W 6th St, Racine, WI) with Rev. Mark Doidge officiating. There will be a time of visitation at Wilson Funeral Home on Sunday, October 8, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. At the request of the family, wearing Badger, Packers, or Brewers attire to Stuart’s visitation on Sunday is encouraged. There will be an additional visitation on Monday, October 9, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Online condolences may be made at www.wilsonfuneralhomeinc.com.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Stuart’s heart transplant donor and their family. This special gift gave Stuart and his family an additional 19 years of life and memories.
