Peter Bernard Odders' Obituary
Peter Bernard Odders, 66, of Racine, Wisconsin, passed away on February 10, 2026, at Froedtert South Hospital in Kenosha after a short and courageous battle with cancer.
Born on November 15, 1959, in Racine, Peter was a 1977 graduate of J. I. Case High School. He dedicated his career to masonry, working with Rasch in Kenosha. He was known for his strength and steady work ethic and was always willing to help those around him. Tough as nails and deeply loving in his own way, Peter was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and son. Peter found great joy in the outdoors. He especially cherished fishing trips, camping, golfing outings, and the annual November hunting camp with his sons and grandson, Reid. He especially treasured the many family trips with Diane and the boys along the Gulf of Mexico in Florida, where countless memories were made together.
His pride in his family was evident in the way he spoke of his sons, grandchildren, and even his grand-dogs. To his family, Peter was the heart of their circle—the one who brought everyone together and kept them close. His presence will be profoundly missed.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Diane; his sons: Justin (Lori), Joshua (Katalin), Peter (Danii), and Tyler; his Grandchildren: Levi, Reid, Elliot, and Sylvia; his sisters: Connie Burmeister (the late Wayne), Penny Brainard (Matt), and Debbie Dodgers (Frank); and his nieces and nephews: Rachel, Elizabeth, David, Jennifer, Rebecca, Heather, Heidi, and Peter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Lillian Odders; his brother-in-law, Wayne Burmeister, and many dear friends, including his beloved dog, Mason.
A celebration of Peter’s life will be held in the spring. Details will be announced at a later date. Peter’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
