Mary Cathrine (Bohn) Ivanoski's Obituary
Racine – Mary Cathrine (Bohn) Ivanoski passed away at the age of 95 peacefully with family by her side on November 15, 2024.
Mary was born in Racine on August 23, 1929, to Raymond J. Bohn and Margaret C. Seitz (Mabel). She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter J. Ivanoski, who passed on October 30, 2009, after 61 years of marriage.
Mary loved to travel, especially to Florida. Mary and Peter moved from Racine to a dairy farm in Wisconsin Rapids in 1971, which matched perfectly with her love of all sorts of animals. She enjoyed cows, chickens, rabbits, sheep, horses, donkeys, and especially her peacocks and birds.
In her spare time, Mary loved gardening, painting, woodworking, making greeting cards, and making jewelry. Her prayer bracelets touched everyone she knew and even strangers she didn’t know. She shared one with everyone she met. She was compassionate and kind and always willing to help others. If only everyone could have seen the world through her eyes.
Mary is survived by her beloved children: Kathleen Delcore, Geri Simonsen (David), Thomas Ivanoski (Lynn), Judy Koch (Jim), and Dave Ivanoski (Susan); grandchildren: Lee Delcore (Terry), Lori Billips (Paul), Cindy Reinhardt, Steven Simonsen (Nicole), Ryan Simonsen (Sheila), Jennifer Simonsen (John), Tabatha Ward (John), Crystal Cook, Edwin Ivanoski, Bernie Koch, Marty Koch (Katrina), Blair Koch, and Roy Koch; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; sisters: Sister Kathleen Bohn and Sister Margaret Rose Bohn; and special friend, EOLA Timms.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Peter; son-in-law, James Delcore; siblings: Patricia Schuster (Fred), Barbara Paque (Ralph), William Bohn (Christine), Gerald Bohn, and Beverly Dresen (Bill).
Per the family’s wishes, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mary's name may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association Wisconsin Chapter (https://www.alz.org/wi or 620 S 76th St, Milwaukee, WI 53214).
“The life that she lived will always be remembered. The ways she touched hearts cannot be erased. Her smiles and laughter will live on forever.”
