I have such fond memories of Peggy as my favorite Sunday School teacher. I looked forward to those special Sunday's when we would earn a block of her delicious fudge for memorizing a Bible verse. Sue Johnson Fitzgerald

Peggy was a member of the First Presbyterian Church where I worked for 23 years. She was a role model for all of us, especially women who chose to be educated and give their talents to the world. Peg was a very special person to me. When I saw her at Christmas time this year, I was honored and very pleased to realize that our family Christmas letter was on her bulletin board.
All of you who loved Peg loved her flowers...and her vegetables...which she so generously brought to the church. She brought me gladioli and amaryllis, carefully cultivated year after year. She taught generations of the church's children and sang for generations of its members. She decorated the church with the bounty from her garden--cornstalks, pumpkins, gourds, straw, etc. Her vegetables abounded, bringing health and joy to everyone who knew her.
I treasure my relationship with Peg, her gentleness, her loving compassion, her faithfulness, her wisdom, and her strength. I thank God for her presence in my life; I'll miss her. Paulette Berggren
I loved to get apples at Peggy's, one of my favorite fall activities! And she loved to see me and the kids I usually brought with. I've missed seeing her for a long time.
