Jacob J. Frank's Obituary
Jacob John Frank, 69 passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2014.
Jacob was born on July 29, 1945 in Cook County, Illinois to Jacob J. Frank and Esther (nee: Herbert) Frank. Jacob worked at S.C. Johnson Company for many years, retiring in 2003. He enjoyed traveling all 50 states and spending the winters in Florida. He also loved camping, fishing, his log cabin in Wild Rose, gardening, trike rallys and his pets.
Jay was a wonderful husband to his wife of 50 years, Karyne and a loving father to his son, Kelley and Kelley’s girlfriend, Vicki Miller. He was also a wonderful “Dad” to all his pets over the years. He’ll be especially missed by Rusty.
Jay is survived by his wife, Karyne, his son, Kelley (Vicki Miller), Granddaughters; Rebecca, Jennifer and Stephanie, his sisters; Barb Lange, Lauretta Noack, Jo Ann (Gene) Weidman, Mary Hitchcock of Baraboo, WI, and his brother Bill (Ninna) Frank. He is also survived by sisters-in-law, Jacque (Dave) Olson, Bev (Wally) Zurawski, and many nieces and nephews.
Jake was preceded in death by his son, Kevin, who passed away on November 2, 1993, his parents, Jacob and Esther Frank, brother, John Hebert, sister, Esther Buffham, in-laws, Arthur and Grace Mackey, nephews; Ryane Frank, Ryan Olson, Jimmy Gerber, and brother-in-law, Chuck Noack.
There will be a Visitation for Jacob on Sunday, September 28, 2014 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Wilson Funeral Home. There will be a second Visitation on Monday, September 29, 2014 from 10:00 am to 10:30 am, immediately followed by a procession to West Lawn Memorial Park.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Calderwood, Dr. Mullane, Dr. Christianson, Dr. Niebar and Dr. Dizadji ; also the Wheaton-Franciscan Infusion lab staff, Radiation Staff and also the staff at Aurora Cancer Center for their kind and compassionate care of Jay.
Memorials have been suggested to the American Cancer Society.
