A couple weeks ago when I came to work, Alma was still getting her hair done, so I waited a bit till she was finished. When I walked into her room to see her, she was laying there quietly, eyes closed, looking ever so lovely. There was a beautiful glow covering her face, and such a look of peace. I stood there quietly, just watching her, taking in how wonderful she looked at that moment. Slowly she opened her eyes, and as she focused on me, her blue eyes began to sparkle, the corners of her mouth turned up in a warm smile, she was happy to see me. I said she looked just lovely, and she smiled bigger. This is an image forever etched in my memory. But, now, her smile is even bigger, her eyes are brighter and sparkle even more, because she is home where she longed to be, and she is with the One to whom her heart yearned for, Jesus.
