William W. York's Obituary
William Willard York, 65, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare – All Saints on Tuesday, March 31, 2015.
Bill was born in Racine to the late Roy and Ida (nee: Peterson) York on February 18, 1950. He had been very lovingly close to his fiancé, Lynn Sterbin for 15 years. He was employed as an interstate truck driver for many years until his retirement.
Bill attended St. Richards of Chichester Catholic Church. He was skilled in woodworking and loved to make curio cabinets. He would also tinker and fix old cars and trucks. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. Bill was a very loving, caring and giving person. He enjoyed grilling at home or at parks. He also liked to take his fiancé out on long drives and nights out for dinner.
Bill is survived by his loving companion and fiancé, Lynn Sterbin; son, Duncan William (Shana) York; and brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by two brothers.
