William Wright,'s Obituary
Mr. Wright, 88, passed away on Friday morning, Oct. 12, 2007 at Memorial Hospital of Burlington. He was born in Miami, Oklahoma on Sept. 28, 1919 to the late William Clifford and Edith A. (nee: Hopkins) Wright. He lived in Racine since 1947.
He served in the United States Marines during World War II. He was employed at Martin Peterson Company and other companies as a sheet metal worker for many years retiring in Nov. 1981.
He is survived by his children, William (Laurie) Wright, Jr, Richard Wright, Cheryl (John) Garro; ten grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; one brother, Clifford (Olive) Wright, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives also survive, He was preceded in death by his wife. Doris on Dec. 23, 1993 and a sister Lea.
Funeral services will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home 1212 Lathrop Ave. on Monday, Oct. 15, 2007 at 10 a.m. with Ron Tichy officiating. Interment will follow at Mound Cemetery. Friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
