William Lange's Obituary
Racine - Mr. William W. Lange, 88, passed away on Sunday afternoon, August 6, 2006.
William Lange was born in Stratford to the late William and Laura (nee: Harris) Lange on July 4, 1918. He had lived in Racine since 1938. In Racine, he was united in marriage to Lorraine D. Ziesemer on May 2, 1942.
Mr. Lange was an active member of the Racine Bible Church. He loved to attend the Wednesday night prayer meetings. Mr. Lange was a farmer until 1952. He then worked for the County of Racine retiring in 1983. Mr. Lange was an avid bowler and fisherman. His hobbies were woodworking and painting. Most of all, he cherished his family.
Bill is survived by his wife of 64 years, Lorraine; three daughters, Judy Wood of Racine, Donna (Jim) Paddock of Texas, and Faythe (Guy) Ladd of Racine; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Edwin (Doris) Lange, Melvin Lange, Reinhold (Sharon) Lange, Elwin (Lucy) Lange, and Bea Lange; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters-in-law, Mayford Lange, Ivon (Tooey) Lange, Audrey Lange, and Barbara Lange; and his sister and brother-in-law, Ruth (Jack) Basford.
Funeral services will be held at Racine Bible Church, 12505 Spring Street, on Monday evening, August 14, 2006 at 7 pm with Rev. Spencer DeBurgh officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Monday from 4 pm until service time. Interment will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park on Tuesday morning, August 15, 2006 at 10 am. Memorials may be directed to Racine Bible Church Missions.
