William Ketchum's Obituary
Racine - Mr. William C. Ketchum, 87, went home to be with is Lord on March 23, 2010.
William Clinton was born in Racine to the late Richard and Lulu (nee: Rutherford) Ketchum on December 20, 1922. He lived in Racine his whole life. He was united in marriage to Lolita Verl DeGarmo on September 5, 1942.
Bill retired from Twin Disc and was a member of the 20 year club. He was proud of his service to his country as a member of the Army Air Corps during WWII. Prior to his illness Mr. Ketchum was an active member of First Evangelical Free Church. He taught Sunday school, was the song leader and was in the church band. He was also involved in many other works of the church. He loved to sing and play his harmonica and enjoyed fishing. He was an avid sports fan especially the Packers and the Brewers. Mr. Ketchum was a very giving person and he is loved very much by his family and friends.
William is survived by his wife, Lolita; three daughters, Lynda (Randy) Worden, Barbara Christoffersen, and Vicki (John) Thorpe; five grandchildren, Michelle and Michael Worden, Daniel Christoffersen, Julie (Steve) Pearson and JD (Misty) Thorpe; three great grandchildren, Justin and Kylee Thorpe, and Francesca Sadek; three sisters, Ethel Priaulx, Lucille Gascoigne and Kathryn Covington; one brother-in-law, Cecil (Margaret) DeGarmo; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Carmen Leah Christoffersen; three brothers, Richard, Russell, and Truman Ketchum; and one sister, Mildred Ketchum
Funeral services will be held at the First Evangelical Free Church, 2401 Ohio Street on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 10 am. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the Wilson Funeral Home on Friday evening, March 26, 2010 from 7 until 9 pm and on Saturday morning from 9 until the time of service. Memorials may be directed to the First Evangelical Free Church Building Fund.
