William H.'s Obituary
Sturtevant - Mr. William H. Bie, 83, passed away on Friday, January 5, 2007 at Lincoln Village Convalescent Center.
William was born in Racine to the late William H. Sr. and Margaret (nee: Hanish) Bie on July 27, 1923. He was a graduate of Horlick High School, Class of 1941. In Racine, he was united in marriage to the former June Olson on October 1, 1970. She preceded him in death on February 24, 2005.
Mr. Bie served in the United States Army during World War II and took part in the Normandy invasion in June of 1944. He was employed by American Motors. He was a loving husband and had a great sense of humor. William was also an avid golfer. He will be missed by his family and his many friends.
William is survived by his brother, James E. (Victoria) Bie of LaJolla, California; his sister, Elaine (Peder) Falstad of Midlothian, Virginia; three nephews, Garry (Sherrie) Bie of San Diego, California, James Bie of Phoenix, Arizona, and Rick (Roberta) Bie of Stevens Point; four nieces, Kathy Hebert of Powhatan, Virginia, Kari DeSantis of Midlothian, Virginia, Nora Brandt of Kenosha, and Monica (Rick) Czapiewski of Chetek; one sister-in-law, Joan Larsen of Sun City, Arizona; and special friends, Joan and Tom Hancock of Kenosha. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Patrick Bie.
In keeping with Mr. Bie's wishes, he was cremated. Private inurnment services were held at West Lawn Memorial Park.
