William Blaesing's Obituary
RACINE-- Bill Blaesing, 85, entered into eternal life on August 16, 2013, the 61st anniversary of his marriage to the love of his life, Sharon Redford. Bill and Sharon met at the raspberry patch at the Wustum Museum, where he worked for 43 years. Bill also taught pottery classes for the Racine Art Association at Wustum.
Bill served in the Army in Korea at the end of the Second World War. Bill and Sharon had four children, Geoff (Joanne) of Brookfield, Carol (Paul) Zanotti of Racine, Margaret (David) Johnson of Elkhorn, and Nancy (Tab) O'Neal of Bedford, VA. Bill loved and enjoyed his family. He also loved his church and was devoted to God. Bill took great joy in the outdoors, and activities like sailing and flying kites. Art, especially pottery, was definitely a passion for Bill. Bill's family will miss his wonderful sense of humor.
In addition to his wife, children and their spouses, Bill is survived by eight grandchildren; Patrick Blaesing, Danny Blaesin, Joe Zanotti, Tony Zanotti, Anna Clemons, Amy Adelsen, Laura Wallander and Aaron Johnson; and five great grandchildren, Avalyn Adelsen, Brynlee Adelsen, Hannah Clemons, Patricia Clemons and Isaac Wallander. He is further survived by his sisters Pauline Blaesing and Ruth Schmidt, and brother Herman Blaesing Jr. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Anna Blaesing, and a grandson, Christopher Blaesing.
