William "Bill" Louis Petri's Obituary
East Troy, formerly of Racine – William “Bill” Louis Petri, 77, passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin with his family by his side.
Bill was born in Racine on October 22, 1947, to the late William and Mary (nee Graceffa) Petri. On January 9, 1971, also in Racine, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Linda Greene.
Bill proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. After his military service, Bill centered his life around his family—always striving to do the best for them. He especially enjoyed spending time with loved ones, fishing, listening to oldies music, and admiring classic cars. Known for his awesome sense of humor and trademark sarcasm, Bill brought joy and laughter to all who knew him.
Bill will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 54 years, Linda Petri; his children: William (Amy) Petri and Tracy (Paul) Farrey; grandchildren: Genevieve (Joe) Kelley and Ailey Petri; siblings: Maryann Westman, Robert (Barbara) Petri, Darlene Petri, and Richard “Rick” Petri; as well as many dear nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at Wilson Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, from 10:30 A.M. until 12:30 P.M. Inurnment with full military honors will follow at 2:00 P.M. at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the CVICU staff and Dr. Schena, along with the entire surgical team at Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin, for the extraordinary care and compassion shown to Bill.
