William Norman Bartlett's Obituary
Racine – William “Bill” Norman Bartlett, 68, unexpectedly passed away at his home on October 29, 2019.
Bill was born in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to Warren and Hilda (nee Lindquist) Bartlett Sr. on November 14, 1950. He graduated from Washington Park High School. After high school, he served as a ground equipment mechanic in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.
Bill was employed in 1974 by Harris Metals/Bodycote and worked there for 39 years retiring in 2013. He was a man with a strong work ethic and was a dedicated worker. Bill enjoyed watching sports especially the Green Bay Packers.
Bill is survived by his daughter, Tania (Chris) Nilles; son, Sean (Teri) Bartlett; sister, Diane (Aldon) Wedlund; brothers-in-law: Gary (Linda) Exner and Chuck (Robin) Henkes; sister-in-law, Barbara Bartlett; three grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren Sr. and Hilda; brothers: Donald Bartlett and Warren “Roger” (Sandy) Bartlett Jr.; and sister, Linda Exner.
A memorial celebration of Bill’s life will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home on Monday, November 11, 2019 at 1:30 P.M. Committal services and full military honors will follow at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until 1:30 P.M.
