Wayne N. Stade's Obituary
Kenosha (formerly of Burlington) – Wayne N. Stade, 77, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 13, 2025.
Born on October 13, 1947, in Milwaukee, Wayne was the son of the late Harvey and Lorraine (née Doral) Stade. Wayne was married to his wife, Bertha, who preceded in death. He worked as a private investigator for several years. Wayne also served in the U.S. Army.
Wayne was, above all, an avid fisherman. He found peace and joy on the water and never passed up the chance to cast a line. A dedicated coin collector, he also appreciated the quiet moments spent adding to his collection. Wayne was a lifelong Packers fan, proudly sharing that passion with the rest of his family. He also rooted for the Brewers, a connection that ran deep thanks to his uncle who served as an usher at County Stadium during Wayne’s youth—a memory he fondly carried throughout his life.
Wayne will be deeply missed by his siblings, Juanita Ratz and Gregory Stade; his nephews, Jason (Kristen) Otto, Joshua Otto, and Jacob (Hope) Otto; great-nieces and great-nephews, Kylie, Brooklyn, Ava, Jasmine, Jayda, and Lola; and his longtime friend, Michael Shields.
A celebration of Wayne’s life will be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Wilson Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Inurnment with full military honors will take place at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
