Virginia Catherine Rohlinger's Obituary
Racine – Virginia Catherine Rohlinger, 98, passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Ridgewood Care Center. She was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin on December 12, 1915 to George and Mamie Flad.
Virginia was united in marriage to Merlin J. Rohlinger on October 9, 1937 in Kenosha. After Merlin retired, they moved from Libertyville, Illinois to Kalispell, MT where they made many friends and were very active in St. Matthew’s Parish. Virginia returned to Wisconsin in 2006 to be nearer to her family.
Virginia loved to garden and always had a large vegetable garden every year. She loved to can and give produce to friends and neighbors. She was also known for her beautiful rose gardens. She also did beautiful knitting and needlework.
Virginia is survived by her three children; Dennis, Marion and Gordon, five grandchildren; Janette, George, Roberta, Denise and Joey, also by several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mamie Flad, her brother, Gilbert and her husband, Merlin.
Services for Mrs. Rohlinger are private.
