Virginia Creuziger's Obituary
Mrs. Creuziger, 87, passed away on Monday evening, April 27, 2009 at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare/All Saints. She was born in Racine on Jan. 11, 1922 to the late Carl and Lydia (nee: Potterville) Ziesemer. She lived all of her life in Racine. She was united in marriage to Emery Creuziger in Racine on Sept. 4, 1943.
She was the secretary at Gifford School for many years, retiring in about 1990. She was an active member of Evangelical United Methodist Church, sang in the church choir, played the church bells, and a member of the Ridgerunners Square Dance Club. She loved knitting, crocheting and cooking.
She is survived by her loving husband, Emery Creuziger, of over 64 years; two sons, Dennis and Larry Creuziger. Virginia and Emery raised three of their granddaughters, Sara, Jessica and Laura, also surviving are five other grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, Katelyn; four sisters, Lorraine Lange, Lois (Jerry) Chadek, Janet (Harold) Green, Joyce Rohner, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her son Robbin Creuziger, June 23, 2002.
Funeral services will be held at Evangelical United Methodist Church, 11th and Main Sts. on Friday, May 1, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. John Flemming officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may meet with the family at the Wilson Funeral Home 1212 Lathrop Ave., on Thursday, April 30, 2009 from 4-7 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
