Verna Thunhorst's Obituary
Mrs. Thunhorst, 96, passed away at Lincoln Village Convalescent Center on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2007. She was born in Racine on May 18, 1911, to the late Helmuth and Eda (nee: Plate) Keller. She was united in marriage to Walter Reilly on Feb. 21, 1926, and then to Chester Thunhorst at Holy Communion Lutheran Church on May 7, 1938.
She was employed at Motor Specialty and Wisconsin Southern Center retiring in 1976. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and the St. Luke's Senior Rockers. She loved bowling, gardening, crocheting, reading and crossword puzzles.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Arlette "Pat" and Patrick Murphy of Hudson, WI, Carol and John Usa of Racine, with whom she made her home for sixteen years; one son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Diane Thunhorst of Racine; ten grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Thunhorst in March 1976 and a brother Lloyd Keller in San Francisco, CA.
A memorial service will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home 1212 Lathrop Ave., on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2007 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Ed Fuller officiating. Private inurnment will be held at a later date. Friends may meet with the family at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
