Vern Allen Ladd's Obituary
Mount Pleasant - Vern Allen Ladd, age 85, has gone home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on September 30, 2017.
Vern was born on August 19, 1932, to the late Vern and Alice (nee: Esic) Ladd in Adrian, MI. He owned and operated Reprographic Technologies from 1971, until he turned the company over to his son in December of 1994.
During his time in Racine, Vern was a faithful member at Racine Bible Church and currently, at Calvary Memorial Church. As his sons were growing up, he was a Scout Master with the Boy Scouts of America and even helped with organizing regional Scout Jamborees. Throughout his life, Vern was an avid sailor and upland game hunter. He was also a long-time member of Gideons International, having served as the president of the Racine Camp.
Left to cherish Vern’s memory are his loving wife, Martha Ladd (nee Addison); children: Rick (Cindy) Ladd, Bonnie (Joe) Tufo, Guy (Faythe) Ladd, Mark (Catherine) Ladd, and Sheri Ladd; sister, Merrie Rosemary (Jimmie) Oaks; 14 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Vern will be held at Calvary Memorial Church on Saturday, October 7, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Patrick Faulk officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time service. Memorials may be directed to Gideons International (5803 52nd St, Kenosha, WI 53144).
