Valice Mae Whitt's Obituary
Racine – Valice Mae Whitt, 84, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 7, 2013 from Froedert Hospital in Milwaukee.
Valice Mae was born in Panther, West Virginia to Clifford B. and Pearl (nee: Cline) Whitt on August 28, 1929. She spent her childhood in Panther and moved to Racine in 1967 where she lived the rest of her life.
Valice was raise in the Southern Baptist faith and lived to serve the Lord. She enjoyed attending to her family and her home. She was known for her very good cooking. One of Valice's unique talents was to play the banjo by finger picking. Family was always important to her. She was a pleasant person to talk to and to love. She was her nieces' Nana, but instead they called her "Towie".
Valice will be dearly missed by her brother and sister, Royce (Mary Lou) Whitt and Maxine Whitt; special family, Paul (Audrey) Whitt, Ashley, Amy, Paul Jr. Whitt, Austin Holewinski, Audrena Davis and Melissa Nelson and her kids, Andrew, Lauren and Elizabeth; nieces and nephews, Kevin (Brenda) Whitt, Larry (Bobby Jo) Whitt, Jeff Whitt, Linda Torres, Lucas Whitt; and many step-nieces, step-nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Clifford (Pearl) Whitt; sister, Velva (Edward) McGuire; and brothers, Sterling (Chloe) Whitt and Gathern (Pauline) Whitt.
Funeral services honoring Valice's life will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 12:00 noon. Memorials to the family have been suggested.
