Thomas J. Allain's Obituary
Racine – Thomas J. Allain, 82, passed away suddenly at his home on October 29, 2015.
Tom was born in Richland Center to the late Theodore and Mary (nee: Hoffman) Allain. In Racine, he was united in marriage to Bernice R. Johnson on April 29, 1967.
Tom served in the United States Navy on the USS Forrestal. He earned a B.S in Mechanical Engineering from UW – Madison and followed with a Master’s Degree in Education. He was an educator at Gateway Technical College for 26 years and retired in 1996. Tom was proud of serving in the Navy and of his educational degrees; but most of all, he loved and was very proud of his family.
Tom was a loving husband to Bernice Allain; father to two sons, John and Jo Anne Allain and Bruce and Kelly Burns Allain; grandfather to two, Zack and Josh. He was also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Tom was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Theodore Allain.
A Celebration of Tom’s Life will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home on Sunday afternoon, November 1, 2015 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Racine County Food Bank or the Health Care Network. Condolences may be made at www.wilsonfuneralhomeracine.com.
