Teresa Ann Therkelsen's Obituary
Racine - Teresa Ann Therkelsen, 68, of Racine, passed away Monday, March 9, 2026.
Teresa was born in Racine to the late Erwin and Ruth (née Christensen) Therkelsen. She dedicated much of her life to hard work and loyalty, spending 42 years doing factory work at MAMCO before her retirement.
Teresa had a warm and joyful spirit and found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. She was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and enjoyed cheering on her team every season. Teresa loved spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews, and treasured going out to eat with them and sharing laughter together.
She also had a special love for her dogs and enjoyed relaxing while watching her favorite program, Around the Corner with John McGivern, along with many classic television shows. Teresa appreciated a good cup of coffee, especially from 7 Brew, and found joy in baking, particularly during the holidays when she lovingly shared homemade Christmas cookies as gifts with family and friends.
Teresa was proud of her Danish heritage and was a faithful member of Living Faith Lutheran Church. She also loved to dance and fondly enjoyed attending Elvis performances with her nephew.
She will be dearly missed by her sisters, Julie (Matt Newhouse) Emmons, Sharon (Frank) Balestrieri, and Kim (David) Heimerl; her nieces and nephews, Robin, Steven, Clint, Michelle, Becky, Sarah, Ashley, Shane, Nicole, and Cassie; nine great-nieces and great-nephews; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Teresa was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Glenn Therkelsen; her nephew, Cody Heimerl; and her grandmother, Lillian Christensen.
Private services will be held.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Froedtert and Ascension, as well as the Cancer Center and Cardio Rehab at Ascension, for their kind and compassionate care.
