Susan Cathy Jacobson's Obituary
Racine-Susan Cathy Jacobson, 72, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, surrounded by her family.
Sue was born to the late Ingolf and Kathryn (nee Willick) Teigland on June 3, 1949, in Racine. She was united in marriage to Donald Jacobson on May 22, 1970, at Atonement Lutheran Church in Racine. Donald and Sue were married for 35 years until Donald’s passing in February of 2006.
Sue was a proud graduate of Washington Park High School. While in high school, Sue played the trumpet at the Elk’s Club. This is where she met the love of her life, Donald. She was a faithful member of Atonement Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the Harbor Lite Yacht Club. She enjoyed taking part in the carboard boat races at the Harbor Lite Yacht Club. Sue was a fan of the Green Bay Packers and was a huge fan of the Wisconsin Badgers. Sue also enjoyed volunteering, crafts, and spending time with her family and friends.
Sue will be deeply missed by her loving children: Holly Lyn Allan (Steven T. Allan) and Eric Scott Jacobson (Amy J. Jacobson); grandchildren: Isabella J. Jacobson, Ellianna V. Jacobson, and Rue N. Jacobson; along with several other relatives and friends.
Sue is predeceased by her husband, Donald; and her brother, Ronald Teigland.
A Celebration of Sue’s Life will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at 1:00 P.M. Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Sue’s name may be directed Vitas Hospice Healthcare (2675 N Mayfair Road, STE 500, Wauwatosa, WI 53226).
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Vitas Hospice, Meals on Wheels, and all of Sue’s neighbors and friends for their loving and compassionate care of Sue.
