Sigrid Sturgeon's Obituary
Mrs. Sturgeon, 66, passed away on Tuesday,Mrs. Sturgeon, 66, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at Hospice Alliance in Kenosha. She was born in Berlin, Germany on July 11, 1940 to the late Friedrich and Ellen (nee: Zander) Sydow. She lived in Racine for 26 years.
She was united in marriage to Jams A. Sturgeon in Glen Burnie, MD on November 26, 1969. She was employed at the United Auto Workers, Region 10 in Oak Creek for 30 years as a secretary retiring in 1997.
She loved being with her family and enjoyed being up north.
She is survived by her husband, James Sturgeon, sons, Jimmy and Eric Sturgeon, daughter, Monica (Jeff) Bliss, grandchildren, Destiny, Noah, Berndt and sisters, Ruth and Christina.
A Memorial service will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home 1212 Lathrop Ave. on Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at 11 a.m. Friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Monday evening, April 23, 2007 from 5-8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Memorials in memory of Mrs. Sturgeon to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation have been suggested.
