Sheila Ada Johnson's Obituary
Mount Pleasant-Sheila Ada Johnson, 77, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2023, surrounded by her family.
Sheila was born to the late Wilmer and Zedonia (nee Schellpfeffer) Albert on June 8, 1945, in Hustisford, Wisconsin. She was united in marriage to Orville W. Johnson in 1963 in Ashippun, Wisconsin. Sheila worked as an educational assistant for Racine Unified School District for 30 years.
Sheila was a faithful member of Mount Pleasant Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the Fifth Street Yacht Club since 1978. She was a farmer’s daughter, which brought her to have a hardworking mentality. Sheila loved life and lived it to the fullest. She spent a great deal of time traveling with her husband, Orville, in their RV. Together in the RV, they would travel to Florida and northern Wisconsin. A spot they liked in Northern Wisconsin was Lac du Flambeau. When they were there, they enjoyed fishing and hunting. Other places Sheila and Orville have been to include Hawaii, California, and Mexico.
Sheila enjoyed cooking and baking. She always took care of her family and loved spending every moment she could with them. Sheila also enjoyed dancing and was an avid Elvis Presley fan. Sheila and Orville shared their last dance together this past New Year’s Eve. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Sheila will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Orville W. Johnson; children: Cynthia (Russ) Bass, Denise Johnson (Tim Parrish), and Scott (Georgina) Johnson; grandchildren: Amanda Nelson, Ethan Palubicki, Jeremy Nelson, Trevor Palubicki, Derek Hubbard, Brad Johnson, Kristi Reibe, Vince Payne, and Kayla Thompson; great-grandchildren: Grace Hubbard, A.J. Hubbard, Jackson Krzewina, Dean Palubicki, and Ava Krzewina; siblings: Wanda Voigt, Rita Zimmermann, Linda Weihert, and Wilmer Albert Jr.; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
Sheila is predeceased by her Grandma Albert and Grandma Schellepheffer.
A celebration of Sheila’s life will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home on Thursday, February 2, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Sheila Rawn from Mount Pleasant Lutheran Church officiating. Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Sheila’s name may be directed to the Froedtert Cancer Center Grace Clinic (8800 W Doyne Ave, Wauwatosa, WI 53226).
