Sandra Lee Shidell's Obituary
RACINE – Sandra L. Shidell (nee: Sorenson), age 70, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
Sandy was born in Kenosha on December 22, 1944 to the late Harvey and Mabelle (Anderson) Sorenson. She was a graduate of Horlick High School. She was united in marriage to Fredrick (Rick) Shidell on June 27, 1978.
She worked at Jewel Food Store and furthered her education graduating in the first class of LPNs at Gateway Technical College. Sandy enjoyed spending most of her career working in private home healthcare. She retired from nursing in 2006.
Sandy enjoyed playing piano, bowling, and going to Potawatomi. She was also a big fan of the Green Bay Packers.
Sandy is survived and will be dearly missed by her husband, Rick Shidell; children: Lorie (Andy) Chirigotis, Jay Collova, Cindy Hagopian; step-son, Eric (Monique) Shidell; grandchildren: Jacquelyn, Stephen, and Ciara; great-grandson, Noah; sister, Lu-Ann Grant; brother, Brian (Lisa) Sorenson; brother-in-law, Mike Fox; and other relatives and friends.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Mabelle Sorenson, and her sister, Gail Fox.
To honor Sandy’s wishes, the family will hold a private service and inurnment at West Lawn Memorial Park.
