Dear Roger and family,
Sandy was a dear, sweet person that I had the privilege of getting to know while in leadership with her in Bible Study Fellowship. I told my husband Mike, "I know where she is". She is indeed now with our Lord, but we want to give our heartfelt condolences to Roger at this time of grief for him. We pray the Lord's comfort for him in the many days to come and to know of the Lord's comfort through those who know and love Him.

I was saddened this morning to read that your wife Sandy had passed. I have been privileged to know your family for many years on a business level that evolved into a personal relationship. The significant involvement that Sandy enjoyed with BSF was also a special connection with my wife Linda. I know that they both shared a special relationship in their love and devotion to Jesus. I know that they are both secure and joyful in heaven. Our family was introduced to the love of Sandy over 25 years ago when she started babysitting for my siblings and I when my parents went on a trip. Little did I know, how that experience would turn into a family friendship that would last for decades. Over the years we felt like the Gravunders were an extension of our family. Saying Sandy oozed with the love of Jesus is an understatement. She was an example of never ending love and her life is a testimony of how we all should live with the love of Jesus in our hearts and sharing it with others. I remember on multiple occasions going to the Racine County Fair, and one of our stops was to see if Sandy was at the tent telling the good news about Jesus to anybody that wanted to here it. I know that last couple of years have been tough for the Gravunders, but knowing she went to be with the lord peacefully at home is something to celebrate. I can only imagine how she is dancing, singing, and celebrating with Jesus right now. Well done Sandy, we look forward to celebrating in heaven with you one day. With all of our love.

Mrs. Gravunder (Sandy) was a spirited person. I first met her when at college in Madison, going to school with her two sons, Greg and John. We became close to the Gravunder family over the coming years, and decades, and are extremely close to this day despite living 2,000 miles apart. Sandy was a punchy lady, always ready for a bit wit. I will remember her on the deck of the Gravunder's cabin in Wild Rose, while we are playing cards on a summer's afternoon, with constant exchange of good humored, witty jabs! I will also remember the many 'healthy' diets she tried in those days. She was certainly a lady who kept you on your toes, and you knew she was there if you ever needed a friend. My condolences to Roger and the Gravunder family who my family and I have been so very fortunate to have shared all the joys, trials, triumphs, sadness and love that life brings...for over 30 years.
