Rosemary Frances Vandeloop's Obituary
Rosemary Frances Vandeloop, age 88, passed away on July 15, 2018 at Tree of Life surrounded by her family.
Rosemary was born in Racine, WI on February 2, 1930 to Stanley and Wanda (nee Szatkowski) Hlystek. She was employed by St. Mary’s Hospital for 18 years as an LPN specializing in Pediatrics. Rosemary was united in marriage to Marvin Vandeloop who preceded her in death.
Rosemary was an avid volleyball player with the local Park Dept. She was a member of TOPS. Rosemary loved the outdoors and being in nature--enjoying gardening, white water rafting, traveling, walking the dogs at the dog park, and picnicking with her family. She was known to be a “people person” and loved spending time with her family and interacting with those around her.
Left to cherish Rosemary’s memory are her children: Victoria, Jeffrey, Thomas, Nancy, Andrea, Curtis (Ana), Angela (Bob Francis), and Mary; granddaughter, Brianna (Bret) Rustad; great-grandchildren: Madison and Kailey, and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin; daughter, Janice; son, David; sister, Jean Borkowski; brother, Raymond Hlystek, and daughter-in-law, Cat Vandeloop.
A celebration of Rosemary’s life will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2018, at Wilson Funeral Home (1212 Lathrop Ave.) at 3:00 p.m. Visitation will be held on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. Inurnment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in a private ceremony.
