Rosemary Elizabeth Janusz's Obituary
Rosemary Elizabeth (née Muma) Janusz, age 91, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2026, at her residence, with her loving family at her side.
Rosemary was born on September 5, 1934, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to James and Elizabeth (née Borkowski) Muma. Rosemary carried throughout her life a strong work ethic, a generous heart, and a sense of humor that endeared her to everyone she met.
Rosemary spent more than 50 years as a hardworking waitress, a role she wore proudly. She had a natural gift for making people feel at home, often remembering orders, faces, and stories long after others might have forgotten. For many, she was more than someone who brought coffee; she was a steady, friendly presence who made the day a little brighter.
In her free time, Rosemary expressed her creativity through painting ceramic whitewares, lovingly crafting pieces that became cherished gifts. Her handmade ceramic wedding Bibles were especially meaningful, each one a reflection of her patience, care, and a subtle reminder that love, should be handled with attention and a steady hand.
Rosemary’s homemade chicken soup was legendary among family and friends. It had a way of showing up exactly when it was needed, whether for a cold, a rough day, or simply because you stopped by.
Her door was always open, particularly for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the absolute light of her life. Her home was a place of comfort, laughter where everyone felt welcome and no visit was ever too long.
Rosemary is lovingly remembered by her children, Dean Janusz, Dawn (Donny) Zdrojewski, Terrylee Janusz, and Stacy Janusz; her grandchildren, Ashley (Elias) Chapa, Leanndra (Luke) Erickson, Brittany (fiancé David Boyajian) Janusz, and Jake (Aylissa) Zdrojewski; and her great-grandchildren, Rosalee Chapa, Isabella Chapa, Lorenzo Chapa, Madeline Boyajian, and Brooks Erickson. She is also survived by her close niece, Devonne Schaefer, and great-niece, Tiffany Schaefer; along with special family friends, John and Paula King.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Elizabeth Muma; her beloved husband, Melvin Janusz; and her brothers, Harold (Betty) Muma, James (Albertina) Muma, and Jerry (Anna) Muma, and Chuck Norris.
Rosemary will be remembered for her kindness, her resilience, her creativity, and the way she made everyone feel like they mattered. Her legacy lives in fond memories of her special personality, and the laughter created by her humor. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew her.
