Ron will forever hold a place in my heart's memory. I first met Ron and Donna at Racine Assembly of God Church. Our paths continually crossed at ministry meetings. The youth group at RAOG adopted the Lazarus House as an annual ministry project, helping to renovate the building. Several sets of saw horses were set up in the front lawn upon which doors were laid for the refinishing process. Scaffoldings were set up inside the front rooms to reach the window trim. The project was a joy-filled act of love. Our teens and pre-teens learned the joy of serving our community and the meaning of Servant Leadership. Forever bonds of friendship were formed. The servant hands of John Froode continued to help Ron and Donna with renovations at the Lazarus House for several years. Our hearts continued to knit together with Ron and Donna's through the Racine Prayer Room ministry. Ron, you have graduated into your Forever Home but you are not forgotten. I look forward to continuing our friendship in Eternity.

When my wife and I moved to Racine in late 1999, we attended the Racine Assembly of God, where we became friends with Pastor Ron Held. I remember a casual conversation with Pastor Held during which he mentioned Ron Frye. Pastor Held spoke about Ron Frye with the highest respect. He indicated that Ron Frye never had any time for the competitive possessive spirit that pops up sometimes among pastors in a community. Ron Frye only seemed to care about advancing the Kingdom of God and therefore enjoyed a respect among many pastors that few could have. I looked forward to meeting this guy.
Upon meeting Ron Frye, I quickly saw what Pastor Held was talking about. I never heard Ron Frye say a single disparaging thing about another ministry. I came to share a deep and abiding respect for Ron Frye that lasted until the end of his life. He is a rare treasure. I know he's having a great time in glory.
It was a pleasure working with Ron on a building project many years ago. Rest in peace, Ron.
I have never met a kinder more loving man.

Also one 4th of July that Donna and Ron spent with us watching the fireworks from the back of our boat on the Root river.
Heaven is still rejoicing at Ron's arrival.
We will all once again be together in the loving arm's of Jesus.
