Mr. Helminiak, 76, passed away at his home on Thursday, May 31, 2007. Ron was born on April 7, 1931 to the late Conrad and Clara (nee: Olszewski) Helminiak. He was united in marriage to the former Barbara "Bobbie" Gross on April 23, 1960.
Ron was a veteran of the Korean War. He served with the U. S. Navy and then the U. S. Air Force. He retired from military duty in 1969 after 21 years of active service. Ron was employed at Schiltz-American National Can in Oak Creek from 1969-1989. He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed making his own fishing lures.
He is survived by his wife; Barbara "Bobbie," children; Dawn (Donna), Christopher (Greg), James (Ronda), Tani (Michael), Jodi (Luis); daughter-in-law Debra (Steven) Tishler; twelve grandchildren, sister; Charlotte Mondroski; sisters-in-law, Dori Helminiak, Pauline Gross and Faith Wachholz, further survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his brother, Rhody, sister; Jacqueline and brothers-in-law; Raymond Mondroski, Harvey Wachholz and Burton Gross.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Sebastian Catholic Church 3126-95th St. Sturtevant, on Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at 12 Noon with Fr. Robert Konkol officiating. Entombment will follow at West Lawn Garden Court Crypts. Friends may meet with the family at the church on Tuesday, from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Memorials in memory of Mr. Helminiak to St. Sebastian Catholic Church have been suggested.
