Robert Wright's Obituary
Racine – Robert T. Wright, 86, entered into eternal life on Monday, June 11, 2012.
Robert lived a very long and eventful life. He was born in West Allis to the late Choffner Bluford and Rosa May (nee: Moore) Wright on June 10, 1926. He was raised in Little Rock, AR by his aunties after the passing of his mother. Robert proudly served in the United States Air Force in 1943 during World War II and then resided in Illinois for many years. He moved back to Wisconsin (Racine) in 1972. In Racine, Robert was united in marriage to Dorothy L. Tillman on June 9, 2001.
Robert was employed by Motorola in Chicago, IL and the Department of Industry, Labor and Human Relations in Racine, where he retired from, in 1986. Robert truly enjoyed hunting, golf and gardening and he always had a good sense of humor. Robert was also an intelligent and insightful man; his wealth of knowledge made him a walking encyclopedia! Because of these unforgettable traits, Robert always had a great story to tell!
Robert will be dearly missed by his wife, Dorothy; former wife and friend, Patricia; children/stepchildren, Roberta Perez (Willie Bolton), Rob Bradford-Wright Jr., Nykishia (Oligario) Lazarre, Giovanni (Kimmy Robinson) Washington-Wright, Bryan Kirnbauer, Theresa Mears, Pamela Vaughn, Crystal Patterson; grandchildren, Shane, Sarah, Kientre', Kelly, Chris, Audrey, Storm and Vicente; sister, Stella Irwin; special friends, Irene Melton and Eric Zimdars; nieces, nephews, many numerous step grandchildren and many who called him "Grandpa" or "Pops". Robert was preceded in death by his former wife, Sherrey Louise, one son, Darrell Kirnbauer and his aunts, Edna and Tante' Moore.
A memorial celebration will be held at the First Church of God, 1650 Lathrop Avenue, on Monday, June 18, 2012 at 10 am with Pastor Ryan Reed officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family from 10 am until 11 am service time. Memorials in Roberts honor may be made to Pulmonary Care at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare – All Saints.
