Robert Perry's Obituary
Mr. Robert E. Perry, 83, passed away at Froedert Hospital in Milwaukee on Saturday, January 5, 2008.
Robert E. Perry was born in Piper City, Illinois to John and Cleo Perry on April 16, 1924. He had lived in Racine since 1935. In Racine, on August 24, 1957, he was united in marriage to Peggy J. Farnsworth, daughter of Lawrence and Helen Farnsworth.
Mr. Perry served in the United States Army Air Force in the South Pacific during World War II. He also served in the Army National Guard from 1950 to 1953. Mr. Perry was a cabinetmaker most of his life. He was last employed by Christensen Woodworking, Inc. from which he retired in 1986. He was a 40-year member of the Carpenters Local #61 and #191, a member of VFW Post #1391, and a 30-year member of the Racine Model Airplane Club in which he served 7 years as the Safety Officer.
Robert is survived by his wife of 50 years, Peggy; his daughter, Kathy (Greg) Briscoe; his step son, Jeff (Sue) Guth; his grandson, Matthew Vanden Branden; and his granddaughter, Gerri Lee Guth; other relatives; and friends.
Funeral services will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home on Thursday, January 10, 2008, at 12 noon. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family on Thursday from 10 am until service time. Memorial may be directed to the Racine Model Airplane Club.
