Robert Jerome Kaisler's Obituary
Racine - Robert Jerome Kaisler, 97, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 31, 2026.
Born in Racine on June 30, 1928, Robert was the beloved son of the late Ruth Porasik.
On June 3, 1956, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Elaine Kaisler. Together they shared many wonderful years filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Robert served in the Army Air Corps for 3 years during WW2. Afterwards, Robert dedicated 28 years of service to the United States Postal Service before retiring in 1986. Known for his strong work ethic and unwavering determination, retirement never truly slowed him down. He was always busy with errands, helping others, or tackling projects around the house.
Robert enjoyed long motorcycle rides and taking overnight casino trips with his beloved wife. Even after retirement, he never truly stopped working, always finding errands to run or projects around the house to tackle. He took great pride in his meticulously maintained yard, where he enjoyed feeding the birds that visited regularly—though the squirrels were not welcomed guests. In his free time, he delighted in sharing memories of his adventurous and blessed life with his family and could often be found listening to one of his many albums from his extensive record collection. His strong work ethic and appreciation for life’s simple pleasures will be remembered by all who knew him.
Robert will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Elaine Kaisler; his daughters, Jill (Shawn) Fulmer and Wendy Kaisler; his grandchildren, Amber (Ralph) Nicotera, Dustin (Devin) Stasek, Brooke (Adam) Kraft, Timothy Apple Jr. (Ashley Christensen), and Abby (Kyle) Goetz; his great-grandchildren, Adison, Aden, Ralphie, Sam, Lainey, Laken, and Logan; and his sister, Linda Porasik.
A committal service with full military honors will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Kwon and nurses Tiffany and Jennie at Ascension for the compassionate care they provided to Robert.
