My condolences to the family. I didn't know Bob passed. My mom Adele Perruna worked with Bob and I use to see him at Fred Ellers Legion for breakfast! Wonderful man!!

I worked with Bob in the 1960’s and 70’s at The Gorton Machine Company. When the company moved from the old Racine Street plant to the newly built plant on Hy.11 in Sturtevant, Bob, as a Software Engineer, was one of the people instrumental in bringing the new plant on board. In July 2008, Bob and Dorothy graciously put their home on the Racine Garden Club Tour. Their yard on Ohio Street was small, but when you walked in the backyard it seemed like you where walking in a ‘wonderland’ it was so beautiful! Bob had a jolly laugh and was always interesting to talk with. He will be missed. Indeed his many memories will be with his family.

We were so sorry to hear about Uncle Bob's passing. Every time we went home to Racine to visit we had lovely visits with him and Aunt Dorothy. They were both extraordinary people whom we loved dearly.

Bob was my closest uncle. I remember him giving me a ride on his Honda Goldwing III motorcycle when I was a kid. He kept it so beautifully polished. Bob was a great guy. I have many fond memories of the whole Hackler family. We will miss Bob very much and the cards he and Dorothy sent out to us for birthdays and anniversaries. Love you so much Bob! Rest In Peace. I will miss our Tuesday morning shopping. 2 bananas, 2 cans can noodle soup, 2 frozen dinners, 2 bakery items big enough to cut in half which gave him 4 desserts. Miss you Uncle Bob. My heart goes out to the family.
