Robert Ronald Crawford's Obituary
Racine-Robert Ronald Crawford, 84, passed away at the Wisconsin Veterans Home - Boland Hall in Union Grove on Thursday, October 21, 2021.
Robert was born to the late Robert and Beatrice (nee Schreiner) Crawford on September 18, 1937, in Mondovi, Wisconsin. He was united in marriage to Kathleen Hart on September 1, 1962, at St. Rose Church in Racine.
Robert served his country in the United States Air Force for four years. In the Air Force, he worked as military police, where he trained search dogs. After the Air Force, Robert worked as a Quality Control Inspector at J.I. Case for 34 years. After he retired, he became a tour guide at J.I. Case. Robert enjoyed golfing, bowling, playing bingo at Potawatomi, and watching the Green Bay Packers. He was active in the UAW Local 180 Union, where he served terms as the President, Vice President, Sergeant in Arms, and Recording Secretary. Robert and his wife, Kathleen, enjoyed traveling together. Some of the places they traveled to the most were Florida and Las Vegas.
Robert will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Kathleen Crawford; children: Mike Crawford and Rachelle (Tim) Davis; grandchildren: Stephanie (Jimmy and Jimmy’s son, Tommy), Zachary (Jessica), and Olivia; great-grandchildren: Chris and Alex; brother, William Crawford; along with several other relatives and friends.
Robert is predeceased by his sisters: Joanne Morgensen and Patty Crawford.
Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation for Robert at the Wilson Funeral Home on Thursday, November 4, 2021, from 4:30 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. Private inurnment with full military honors will be held on a later date at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove. Memorials in Robert’s name may be directed to the family.
