Richard Krekling's Obituary
Mount Pleasant – Richard Charles Krekling, 85, passed away peacefully at Ridgewood Care Center on September 20, 2013.
Richard was born in Racine to the late George and Lillian (nee: Olson) Krekling on September 28, 1927. He was united in marriage to Lucille Helen Poelmann on July 7, 1951. He lived in Racine all his life.
Mr. Krekling served in the United States Marines. He was employed by Webster Electric for 40 years retiring in 1988. Mr. Krekling was a member Holy Communion Lutheran Church. He was also a member of the Blind Veterans Association and the Knights of the Round Table. He enjoyed golfing, bowling and fishing and was an avid Green Bay Packer and Chicago Cubs fan.
Richard will be dearly missed by his wife of 62 years, Lucille; his sons, Scott and Biff Krekling; his grandchildren Sam and Greta Krekling, Ryan Krekling, Dan (Margaret) Reisbacher; his great granddaughter, Tenley Reisbacher; special family friends, Julie, Mike, Mark, Nick and Abby Rupnow; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his sons, Todd and Rick Krekling and his brother, Elwood Krekling.
Graveside services were held at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
