Richard Anthony Biederwolf's Obituary
Crystal Lake, IL, formerly of Racine, WI — Richard “Dick” Anthony Biederwolf, age 92, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2026, at the Grand Victorian in Crystal Lake, Illinois.
Dick was born on May 31, 1933, in Brillion, Wisconsin, to Robert and Erma (née Christel) Biederwolf. He was united in marriage to Anna Albright on August 27, 1960, in Appleton, Wisconsin. They shared 57 years of marriage before her passing.
Dick dedicated his entire professional career to education, serving as a schoolteacher and counselor with the Racine Unified School District. Following his retirement, he cherished the time he was able to spend with his family, whom he dearly loved—especially his five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Left to cherish Dick’s memory are his daughter, Chris (Steve) Strobl, and their children, Robyn; Greg (Hannah) and their children, Lydia, Annie, Clark, and Frank (Molly); his son, Mark (Susan) Biederwolf, and their children, Matt (Kaleigh) and their children, Jude, Lucy, and August; and Laura (Ben) Carlson and their children, Mallory, James, Audrey, and Bryce. He is also survived by his sisters, Skip (Don) Kelly, Judy (Don) Kaczmarski, and Mary (Wally) Maynard.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Anna; his brothers, Robert and Mark; and his sister, Dolores (Denis) Campbell.
Dick proudly served his country as a United States Air Force and will be laid to rest at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove.
