Raymond Larrabee's Obituary
Mount Pleasant – Raymond L. Larrabee, 86, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on September 16, 2013.
Raymond was born in Dunn County, to the late Harold and Nettie (nee: Braselton) Larrabee on December 9, 1926. He was united in marriage to Esta Ethel Trupe on November 13, 1948 in Viroqua and lived in Racine for most of his life.
Raymond was employed for over 27 years at J. I. Case and he also worked for Wisconsin Metal Products, Walker Forge, Jacobson, American Motors, Nelson's Truck Farm, Kraft Dairy Farm, Cummings Dairy Farm, 3rd Army Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Great Northern Railway and Lakeside Aluminum. He retired from J. I. Case in July of 1990. Raymond was active member of The Church of the Nazarene. He taught Sunday school and was the Sunday School Superintendant for 20 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, woodworking and vacationing at the cabin in Menomonie.
Raymond will be dearly missed by his wife, Esta; sons, Dennis Larrabee, Jefferey Larrabee and Timothy (Norma) Larrabee; daughter, Nancy (Todd) Davis; grandchildren, Tamara Larrabee, Sean Larrabee, Justin Larrabee, Jessica (Seth) Vandeleest, Brandon Davis, Lindsey Davis and Eric Davis; and great grandchildren, Samantha Vetter, Jacquelynn Vetter, Serena Vetter, Jordan Larrabee, Emily Larrabee, Allison Larrabee, Melody Larrabee, Jacob Vandeleest and Riley Vandeleest; sisters, Lela Zert, Ada Green, Charlotte (Bob) Meltesen and Eileen (Milton) Schulz; and brother, Vern (Marlene) Larrabee. He was preceded in death by his sister, Lois Johnson; brother, Lloyd Larrabee; brothers-in-law, Roland "Jim" Green, Carlton Zerht and Orville Johnson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Floyd (Jessie) Trupe.
Funeral service in honor of Mr. Larrabee will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 4:00 PM with Pastor Rich Doering officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family from 2:00 PM until the time of service. There will also be a funeral service at the Forest Center Church of the Nazarene, E7112 270th Ave Menomonie, WI 54751 on Monday, September 23, 2013 at 4:00 PM. Visitation at the church will be from 3:00 PM until the time of service. Interment will be held at the Forest Center Cemetery in Menomonie. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be directed to the family.
