Pok Thompson's Obituary
Racine – Pok Sil Thompson (nee: Chu), 67, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday, February 28, 2014 at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare All Saints Hospital.
Pok Sil was born in Okdang-ri, South Cholla Province, South Korea on October 4, 1946 to the late Kyung Ye Chu and Chul Im (nee: Koh). On October 22, 1970, she was united in marriage to Gary H. Thompson in Seoul, Korea.
She was a member of Life Creek Church in Oak Creek for many years. Pok Sil was a hardworking and generous person devoted to her family and friends. Pok Sil was passionate about fishing and also loved to spend time tending her vegetable and flower gardens.
Pok Sil is mother to Christine (Mike) Moss; grandmother to Kyle Eric and Emily Angela; and sister to Tae Sik, Sun Hwa, Young Sook and Young Mi.
A funeral celebrating the life of Pok Sil will be held at 7 pm on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Joseph S. Yang officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family at the funeral home from 5 – 7 pm. Interment will be on Thursday, March 6 at 10 am. Friends and family will meet at the funeral home at 9:15 am to proceed to West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
