Phyllis Malnar's Obituary
RACINE - Phyllis K. (nee: Walley) Malnar, 69, passed away on Wednesday night, January 30, 2008, at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare/All Saints. She was born in Racine on June 29, 1938, to late Marvin and Myrtle (nee: Miller) Walley. She lived all of her life in Racine. She was united in marriage to Edward Malnar October 1991, in Racine. She was employed at Durham School Services as a bus driver for many years. She loved playing bingo, was an avid Packer Fan, most of all she loved her rabbit, Thumper. She is survived by her husband, Edward C. Malnar; children, Lance (Judy) Rugzie, Wayde (Jayne) Rugzie, Paula O'Brien-Slaasted (Arnold Slaasted, Jr), April (Paul) Schuelke, Dalene Kostreva-Voss (Tim Voss), James Malnar; 19 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; former husband, Dale O'Brien; two brothers-in-law, Raymond Peterson and George Malnar; special friends, Diane, Donna, Lori and families; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by one brother, Paul A. Walley; one sister, JoAnn Peterson; one great-granddaughter, Amaya Harris. Funeral services will be held at Grace Church 3626 Highway 31 on Monday, February 4, 2008, at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor James Olson officiating. Private interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.
