Peggy Elaine Peden's Obituary
Peggy Elaine Peden , age 72, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Wheaton Franciscan Hospice.
Peggy was born on August 19, 1943 in Mondovi, WI to Leonard and Lorraine (nee: Hill ) Peden, Sr. She was a resident of Christian League for the Handicapped in Walworth, WI for 20 years. Peggy worked at Served Enterprised at Shepherd’s Home for the Handicapped in the laundry. She was proud to be helpful and to contribute to family events by washing dishes. Peggy enjoyed painting ceramics, and created many items which she shared with family members. She loved to bowl and competed at the Special Olympics. Peggy was also an avid photographer, taking pictures of family at every gathering. If she couldn’t take the pictures, she would bring her camera and ask someone to help do it for her.
Peggy will be dearly missed by her sisters: Lois (John) Anderson, Hazel Rigby, Catherine (Dick) Ball, Jeanene Holton, Jeanette Olley, and Shirley Bossert; her brothers: Leonard (Mary Lou) Peden, Don (Marty) Peden, John (Kay) Peden and Chuck (LeeAnn) Peden; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great-nephews, and other family and friends.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, sisters: Donna Peden, Sharon Peden, and Loretta Fuller; brothers-in-law Richard Maurer, Robert Holton, and Robert Olley.
Funeral services for Peggy will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Refuge Church (1529 North Wisconsin Ave, Racine). Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be at West Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the family.
