Pearl Lillian Jorgensen's Obituary
Racine – Pearl Lillian Jorgensen, 91, went home to Heaven on Friday, August 15, 2014.
Pearl was born in Racine on January 21, 1923 to Nels P. Jorgensen and Eva (nee: Anderson) Jorgensen.
Pearl graduated from Park High School in June of 1941. She worked at Oster for 21 year and then at Badger Uniform, retiring in 1986. She gives God all the glory and thanks for the privilege of working for Him. She taught Sunday School for 51+ years, sang in the choir, volunteered with Awanas, Pioneer Girls, the Lend-A-Land Ladies group and worked with young people. Pearl served the needy through Harvest Outreach Food Pantry. She also worked at WVCY - TV30 during their “sharathons.”
Pearl is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins and caretakers, Becky & Brian Krug and Lois & John Anderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Nels & Eva Jorgensen, 3 brothers; Russell, Courtland and Hans, and a sister, Eva Hansen.
A Visitation for Pearl will be held at Wilson Funeral Home on Sunday, August 17, 2014 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
There will be a Celebration Praise Service for Pearl on Monday, August 18, 2014 at 11:00 am. at Calvary Memorial Church. Friends and relatives may visit with the family from 10:00 am until the service begins.
There will be a procession to Graceland Cemetery immediately following the service.
