Patrick "Pat" James Goder's Obituary
Raymond – Patrick “Pat” James Goder passed peacefully in his home on October 27, 2025, at the age of 83, after a hard fought battle with leukemia.
Pat moved to Raymond in 1955 where his family ran a 240-acre farm. He graduated from Union Grove High School in 1960. He was a third-generation tool and die maker, working for both Stybergs in Racine and then for General Motors in Oak Creek. He purchased his home in Raymond on the former site of the one room schoolhouse where he attended grade school. A Raymond resident for 70 years, Pat was a neighbor always willing to lend a hand and proud to serve his community. He was an active member of the Raymond Fire Department for over 18 years. He was a Lake Michigan charter boat captain, and a diehard Packers, Badgers and Brewers fan. He loved golf, bowling and a great dinner out.
Pat married his sweetheart Suzanne (Todish) in 1967, and they were happily married for 48 years. Pat’s legacy is pure and simple… Love your family, be there for the people you care about and help others when you can. He embodied honor, hard work, joy in simple pleasures and of course, sassy, witty retorts. Pat formed many lifelong, treasured friendships.
Pat’s passions were dedication to his family and friends, sports and the true love of building hot rod cars. Nothing brought a smile to his face faster than the roar of an engine and the squeal of tires. He built six hot rod cars in his lifetime and was keen and unrelenting in solving any challenge that arose.
Pat is survived by son, Chris (Jill) Goder; daughter, Terri (Guy) Walton; grandchildren: Josh (Michaela) Lee, Rebecca (Bob) Hinds, Alex Goder, Anna Grace Goder (fiancée, Matt Jankowski), Abigail Walton; brother, Paul (Janis) Goder; sister, Juli (Sid) Goder-Larson, and many beloved nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.
Pat was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and June Goder; his wife, Sue (Todish); and his newborn son, Michael.
A celebration of Pat’s life will be held at Wilson Funeral Home on Friday, November 7, 2025, at 12:30 PM. A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 10:30 AM until the time of service. Interment with committal services will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in Mount Pleasant on Friday.
The family has asked that any friends or family that would like to attend and are owners of a classic or hot rod car, to please feel free to come in your classic car. We would love to honor Pat with a roaring “Gearhead Goodbye”.
Our heartfelt thanks to Jill Goder. For more than a year, you were our father’s steadfast advocate as he navigated countless appointments and cancer specialists during his battle with leukemia. Though you are family, you went above and beyond — protecting Pat and ensuring he always had the best care and options possible. Your devotion, strength, and compassion will never be forgotten.
Our sincere gratitude also goes to Jenny Rieth, Dad’s “other daughter,” and Terri’s lifelong best friend. Jenny flew from Florida to be with us in his final days, bringing her expertise as an RN and hospice nurse — and, more importantly, her boundless emotional and physical support. Her presence brought comfort beyond words in our most difficult moments.
And finally, we want to thank our dear family and friends whose visits, meals, messages, and conversations carried us through this painful time. Your love and kindness have meant more than words can express, and we will be forever grateful for your support.
