Patrick Galligan's Obituary
Mr. Patrick A. Galligan, 61, passed away unexpectedly in Rhinelander on July 7, 2011.
Patrick was born in Antigo to the late Eldon and Margaret (nee: Roberts) Galligan on March 18, 1950. He was a graduate of Park High School Class of 1969. On August 15, 1970 he was united in marriage to Linda L. Hansen.
Patrick proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy Air as a backseat A-3 Electronic Technician. He was later employed at NOVA Industries in Franklin as an electrician.
Mr. Galligan loved hunting and fishing with his wife and grandson. He also enjoyed snowmobiling, shooting skeet and trap with friends and family, as well as spending time in northern Wisconsin. But most of all, he was known for his positive attitude, zest for life, and love for his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Patrick will be dearly missed by his wife Linda L.; children, Patrick S. (Renee' A.) Galligan and Jennifer (Dan) LaDell; and three grandchildren, Samantha, Renee', and Justin Scott Galligan; three brothers, Michael (Marcia), Kevin (Linda M.), and Dan (Medea) Galligan; three sisters, Susan (Scott) Fjerstad, Kathi (Butch) Miller, Marlinda (Randy) Sisk; and many numerous relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eldon and Margaret Galligan, and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Henning and Ruth Hansen.
Funeral services in honor of Patrick will be held at Wilson Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at 1:00pm with Rev. Holly Anderle officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family on Wednesday at the funeral home from 11:00am until the time of service.
