Ottis Franklin Greer's Obituary
Racine - Ottis Franklin Greer, 53, passed away peacefully at his home on March 15, 2015.
Frankie was born in Washington County, Tennessee to O Arvil. and Ella Imojean. (nee: Shipley) Greer on April 9, 1961. He worked 30 plus years at Mor-Flo-American Water Heater until he became ill. His passion and hobby was his Tae Kwan Do of which he acquired a 3rd degree Black Belt-Instructor. His friend, Glenn Olsen called him his “Gentle Giant” He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Frankie is survived by his step-mother, Maxine Greer, Brenda Spaulding, his Love and caretaker; Brothers, Dean (Brenda) Greer and Gene (Shelby) Greer, Sisters; Diana (Bob) Bowman, Tracy Greer, Lisa (Brian) Cradic; nieces and nephews, Layla (Chris), Jerry, Robert (Heather), Sandy, Chris, Henry, Caitlin, Tyler, Joshua and Chris M.; great-nieces and great-nephews, Lakeisha, Logan, Storm, Neveah and Michael; and several aunts and uncles - all who loved him very much. He was preceded in death his father, O. Arvil Greer; his mother and step-father Imojean (Gary) Shipley; grandparents; Alvin (Janie Kate) Ramsey Sr. and Wiley (Elva) Greer; and a niece, Wendy Masingale. “Special thank you to the staff and both Heartland Hospice and Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare – All Saints for their kind and companionate care."
