Racine - Mr. Oscar Erickson, 93, went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare - All Saints Care Facility.
Mr. Erickson lived at Harbor House, 6109 Braun Road, for the last 2 ? years. He loved his family, enjoyed his friends and listening to music. He was a carpenter and a mason. He enjoyed playing cards, baseball and hunting. Oscar was affiliated with Racine Bible Church.
Oscar Erickson was born in Stephenson, Michigan on December 11, 1914. He had lived in Racine since 1965. He was united in marriage to Florence Erickson (d. 1998) on December 28, 1939 in Marinette, WI.
Oscar Erickson is survived by his five sons and four daughters-in-law, Donald and Joyce of Stoughton, James and Patricia of Racine, Harvey and (Jan d. 2006) of Neenah, Terry and Joyce of Madison, and Lee and Jan of New Brighton, MN; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; niece Barbara and Rob Polzin of Racine; and many other relatives and friends. His wife, Florence, and daughter, Bonnie Marie Erickson (d. 1977) preceded Mr. Erickson in death.
Funeral Services will be held at Racine Bible Church, 12505 Spring Street (Hwy. C), on Monday morning, March 17,2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor John Miesel officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at Wilson Funeral Home on Sunday, March 16, 2008 from 5 until 7p.m. and at Racine Bible Church on Monday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorials to InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, Racine Bible Church, and Fox Valley Christian Academy - Jan Erickson Memorial Fund have been suggested.
