Orville William Johnson Jr.'s Obituary
Mount Pleasant – Orville William Johnson Jr., 83, passed away on Monday, September 29, 2025.
Orville was born to the late Ethel (nee Gruenwald) and Orville Johnson on February 28, 1942, in Milwaukee, WI. He served in the Army (The 1958 Berlin Wall Crisis) from 1960-1963.
Orville was united in marriage to Sheila A. Albert in 1963, having 3 children. Orville started his career in Automotive Parts working at a car dealership in 1964. In 1969, he became parts manager, extending his career for 40 plus years. Orville was a faithful member of Mount Pleasant Lutheran Church. He was also a member and commodore of the Fifth Street Yacht Club since 1978. Orville was a great provider and hardworking man.
Orville spent a great deal of time on Lake Michigan, fishing the Salmon-O-Rama with his wife, Sheila and kids too. Orville and his wife, Sheila, would travel in their RV to Florida and up north to Lac du Flambeau. Orville enjoyed hunting, riding 4 wheelers, gambling, and trips. Other places Orville and Sheila have been to include Hawaii, California, and Mexico.
Orville enjoyed dancing with his wife, Sheila, who was a dancing machine. Orville enjoyed his grandkids and great grandkids. He was a loving husband, dad, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Orville will be deeply missed by his children: Cynthia (Russ) Bass, Denise Johnson (Tim Parrish), and Scott (Georgina) Johnson; grandchildren: Amanda Nelson, Ethan Palubicki, Jeremy Nelson, Trevor Palubicki, Derek Hubbard, Brad Johnson, and Kristi Reibe; great-grandchildren: Grace Hubbard, Aaron Hubbard, Jackson Krzewina, Dean Palubicki, Effie Palubicki, Aiva Krzewina, Laurel Nelson, and Colbie Nelson.
Orville was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and wife, Sheila.
A celebration of Orville’s life will be held at Wilson Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at 11:00 AM. A time of visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment with full military honors will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in Racine.
