Norma Jean Timo's Obituary
Racine - Norma Jean Timo (nee Button) passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at the age of 93. Born on May 3, 1931, to the late Edward and Jessie Mae (nee Haswell) Button, she was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and friend.
On August 25, 1950, Norma married the love of her life, Ronald M. Timo Sr., who preceded her in death on August 18, 2000. A long-time member of St. Lucy's Catholic Church, Norma’s faith and family were her foundation.
She was known for her big heart of gold, contagious sense of humor, and her willingness to care for those around her. Norma found joy in life's simple pleasures, she was a fan of shopping, country music, the cartoon character Garfield, and good shrimp dinners. Norma cherished annual trips to Wisconsin Dells and Six Flags, creating memories with her loved ones.
She was a devoted caregiver, always putting the needs of others before her own, whether it was caring for her husband, parents, or anyone else in need. Her favorite little dog, Bootsie, was a source of constant joy and comfort in her later years.
Norma will be deeply missed by her children: Terry Hardt, Mary (Thomas) Peterson, Norman Timo, and Herbert (Julie) Timo; grandchildren: Chris, Stacy, Tricia, Tim, Quentin, Corrinne, Cody, Dylan, Cassandra, and Casey; great-grandchildren: Molly, Hayden, Cadence, Austin, Isaac, Rob, Elizabeth, William, Caden, Macey, Natalie, Landon, and Kaven; as well as a great-great-grandson: Rob Jr. She also leaves behind her daughter-in-law: Penny Timo; her brothers: David Lamp, Michael Lamp, and Paul Lamp; and special friends: Marge Whiting and Shirley Holler. She was preceded in death by her son: Ronald Jr.; her grandchild: Thomas Peterson; great-grandchild: Ahnika Alesch; and five siblings.
Norma will be remembered for her loving spirit, unwavering devotion to her family, and the kindness she shared with all who knew her. She leaves a legacy of love, laughter, and joy that will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
A celebration of Norma’s life will be held at Wilson Funeral Home on Monday, February 24, 2025, with visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m. until the ceremony at 4:00 p.m.
