Nancy Lynn Hoff's Obituary
Racine - Nancy Lynn Hoff, 72, passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2024.
Nancy was born on March 21, 1952, to the late Wilford and Grace (nee Dykstra) Ostergaard in Racine, Wisconsin. On August 5, 1978, she was united in marriage to her beloved husband, Roger Hoff, and together they shared a life filled with love and joy.
Nancy dedicated her career to education, starting as a volleyball coach and teacher in Cuba City in 1974 before later teaching at Case and Horlick High Schools. Her passion for teaching and mentoring shaped many lives, leaving a lasting impact on her students and colleagues.
Outside of her career, Nancy enjoyed golfing, fishing, and spending time up north, where she found peace and joy in the great outdoors. She was an active member of Living Faith Lutheran Church, where she served as president of the church council, participated in the Dorcas Circle, taught Sunday school, and volunteered at the Faithworks Food Pantry, giving back to her community in countless ways.
Nancy will be deeply missed by her husband, Roger; her daughters, Shari (Greg) Bernhardt and Kristin (Nate) Schroeder; and her grandchildren: Sophia, William, and Josephine. Nancy will also be missed by many extended family and friends who are left to cherish her memory.
Nancy was preceded in death by her uncle, Calvin Dykstra.
A celebration of Nancy’s life will be held at the Living Faith Lutheran Church on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 11:00 AM. with Rev. Kathy Brown officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Living Faith Lutheran Church (2915 Wright Avenue, Racine, WI, 53045.)
